According to research, the dairy consumer of today wants their yogurt and cheese products to be healthy, convenient and of course, taste good.

Brian Beattie, National Marketing Manager for Dromona Cheese believes Northern Irish consumers are developing their taste buds, as well as becoming more health conscious. "We have seen significant growth in the sales of Dromonas Mature and Vintage cheese varieties over the past year.

The market is being driven by added value cheese products particularly in the Republic of Ireland marketplace. Our Probiotic cheddar, which is a functional food and the first of its kind introduced to the Northern Ireland market, is performing well. The key to its success is that consumers are confident they are purchasing a cheese that not only tastes good, but also offers additional health benefits."

Spelgas great taste was recently recognised when Dale Farm scooped up a coveted silver award for its Bio Greek Style yogurt in the UK and Ireland wide 2006 Great Taste Awards

Joyce Patterson, Marketing Manager explains "Retailers recognise a Great Taste accolade as a good indication of what to stock in store, so with this award behind us, confirming the great taste of our product, we expect to build on Spelgas success with increased store listings and wider consumer profiling of Greek yogurt throughout 2007."

Consumers are enjoying more than ever "The Big Taste" of Spelga following the brands fantastic recent makeover and TV campaign, ensuring the leading yogurt range remains one of the most contemporary and vibrant yogurt choices on the market.
