Consumers are enjoying now more than ever The Big Taste of Spelga Low Fat 125g, following the brands fantastic new makeover, ensuring the leading yogurt range remains one of the most contemporary and vibrant yogurt choices on the market.

The popular range, which comes in 11 delicious flavours, has enjoyed increased growth following its high profile Big Taste TV advertising and packaging redesign.

Now, it’s accompanying range, Spelga Fat Free, is set to follow in this continued success through its own unique makeover which will complete the recent revamp of the entire Spelga portfolio.

As Joyce Patterson, Marketing Manager explains, Spelga Fat Free has been a huge success since it’s launch in 2002 and was one of the first brands to introduce probiotics into the highly competitive diet yogurt sector.

To capitalise on the new look of Spelga Fat Free we have also introduced 3 new flavours – toffee, rhubarb and blueberry. The pot size has also been improved to 150g making it more suitable for lunchboxes or as a light snack option, making it easier for consumers to include Spelga Fat Free into their daily diet.”

The important health and nutritional benefits of the product ‚Äì fat free, pro-biotic, suitable for diabetics, free from gluten, artificial colours, flavours and gelatine – and of course not forgetting the great Spelga taste, all remain, ensuring that Spelga Fat Free remains one of the most important functional food yogurts available to NI consumers.

As Joyce continues, Consumers increased awareness of their diet, particularly its health and nutritional content, is translating directly into their purchasing habits. They are choosing lower fat options, when these are available, and are also motivated by so-called functional foods, such as probiotics which promote good digestion and are now the fastest growing category in the yogurt sector.

One major new addition to the product is its Low GI status – Spelga Fat Free releases glucose more steadily keeping blood sugar levels even.
