Now That’s A Coincidence!
For Mr and Mrs Thomas, Rowan Glen is something of a household name – and not just for the excellent yoghurt and dairy products that come form the Newton Stewart factory.
For Mr and Mrs Thomas, it’s different – his Christian name is Glen and hers is Rowan !
Having been living in Holywood, near Belfast for the last few years, Rowan and Glen had not heard of Scotland’s leading yogurt maker until two years ago, when friends, on frequent visits to Scotland, spotted the Rowan Glen lorries travelling up and down the motorways. Making the connection between Dale Farm’s popular brand and their friends, the couple, who have have been bombarded with an assortment of surprises in the mail.
“During the last two years, we have received all sorts in the post, everything from pots of yogurt, and posters of butter, to empty cheese wrappers and photos of Rowan Glen lorries! I don’t know what the postman must think!” said Rowan.
The Rowan Glen management team got to hear about the story and decided to invite Rowan and Glen to pay a personal visit and see what goes into making Rowan Glen products taste so good. Mr & Mrs Thomas, who have recently moved to Preston, are now definitely potty about Rowan Glen.
