Scotland's First Probiotic Drink
Scotlands leading yogurt producer has been producing pots of goodness for years and from this month Rowan Glen is extending its range to drinking yogurt, with the launch of Scotlands first home produced probiotic drink.
In Tune, Rowan Glens new probiotic health drink comes in two delicious flavours, Orange and Cranberry, and will initially be available from Sainsbury’s supermarkets throughout Scotland, with other listings to follow.
Each 100g bottle is made with Scottish milk, and contains probiotic cultures which can help to preserve a positive balance of good bacteria naturally found in the body. The cranberry variety also contains antioxidant properties helping to contribute to good health and wellbeing.
With functional dairy foods continuing to grow in popularity, Rowan Glen is confident In Tune will prove popular with both consumers and retailers.
Rowan Glen Sales Manager, Ronnie Wilson, explains, Scotlands functional drinks market has doubled in size in the last ten years and while probiotic drinks have been around for a while, this is the first probiotic drink made from Scottish milk. More and more consumers are choosing to buy locally produced fare reassured about the taste and quality that is delivered. Retailers of course are also making very strong efforts to support local producers so all in all we are optimistic In Tune will become a real favourite with both consumers and retailers.
Sainsburys, who is commited to offering customers healthier choices through its healthy eating programme and providing ranges such as Be Good To Yourself and Freefrom is the first to stock In Tune, making it available twenty of its Scottish stores.
James Laws, Sainsburys Commercial Manager said, Rowan Glens low fat and fat free yogurts and spreads are already a popular choice for many of our customers not just the health conscious. We believe that In Tune will have similar wide appeal.
