Lucky winners tee off with Jaidee thanks to Dale Farm!
Players from Downpatrick, Portadown and Ballyclare win competition to play at Irish Open Pro Am
Three local golfers took coveted slots on the Dale Farm Pro-Am team at the Irish Open, playing alongside Thai professional Thongchai Jaidee, having won the top prize of a recent competition.
Barry Fitzsimons (Downpatrick Golf Club) Curtis Kinney (Ballyclare Golf Club), 15 year old Andrew Connolly (Portadown Golf Club) and were named as the lucky winners of this once in a lifetime prize from Irish Open sponsor Dale Farm, joining Thongchai Jaidee at Royal Portrush on Wednesday 27th June.
To be in with a chance of winning, golfers across Northern Ireland submitted a 100 word entry explaining what playing in the Pro Am would mean to them. Competition was fierce for a space on the team, as Dale Farm’s Head of Marketing Brian Beattie explains,
“With the Pro-Am being such a hotly anticipated element of the Open, we had a fantastic amount of entries for this competition – this made choosing winners a difficult task! We’re certain that Andrew, Curtis and Barry were worthy of the top prize however, having demonstrated their passion, skill and enthusiasm for the sport in their competition entries. Let’s hope they picked up some valuable tips from the fantastic Thongchai!
“We’re very proud to have supported this year’s Irish Open and on behalf of Dale Farm, I hope our competition winners always remember their experience of this world class sporting event here in Northern Ireland,” concluded Brian.
