Dale Farm wins Training Excellence Award
Dale Farm has won the 2009 Food and Drink Sector Skills Training Excellence Award for their programme of skills training to develop the manufacture of Dromona Cheese at their Dunmanbridge Factory, outside Cookstown.
This involved the recruitment, training and development of a dedicated cheese production team, in partnership with Loughry College. This has led to dramatic increases in the production of Dromona Cheese from 5000 tonnes per annum 2 years ago to a forecast 15000 tonnes this year. The judges were highly impressed by the comprehensive nature of the training, the partnership with Loughry College and the impressive improvement performance involved with the process.
