The Sukie Phenomenon
For The Kid In All Of Us — The Sukie Phenomenon
The Dale Farm Sukie drink continues to win the hearts of consumers across Northern Ireland since it’s launch over twenty years ago.
With over 15 million cartons consumed in Northern Ireland each year, the phenomenon shows no signs of slowing down. Summer 2007 looks set to be a record breaking ‘Sukie Summer Sensation’ with the popular drink gracing retailer cabinets everywhere.
Available in orange, strawberry and apple and blackcurrant flavours in 1pint and handy 250ml tetrapack cartons with straws, Sukie is proving popular with children and adults alike!
Dale Farm Marketing Manager, Joyce Patterson, admits Sukie is one of her favourite ranges to work with: “Sukie remains strong in the soft drinks market, with sales increasing year on year.”
“And if the size of Dale Farm’s mailbag is any judge, Sukie has well and truly reached the heart of the Northern Irish consumer! We receive numerous letters from customers; containing everything from examples of students dressed in Sukie costumes, how many cartons it takes to build a Sukie wall, to the staggering number of cartons people drink each day.”
“Of course, feedback from our young consumers is very important to us. The Supasucker straw, unique in Ireland, is often mentioned in the letters we receive from children. Adding a new dimension to the yummy taste of Sukie, the unique design of this straw gives all Sukie lovers an amazing taste sensation!”
Addition for United News: A new era is also beginning for Sukie with a new 10×250ml pack version being launched in Asda on 30th April and Tesco 4th June. This represents a major extension for Sukie into the larger family packsizes suited for these larger retail stores. Ideal for lunchboxes and kids’ snacks the 10pack should prove a real success and will be located in these stores in the juices/drinks aisle.
